As we approach our centenary in 2024, the club has embarked on an ambitious plan, Project 24, to develop and enhance our facilities and secure the future of our club.
In recent years we have experienced exponential growth in our minis, youths, girls and women’s teams. This rapid and welcome influx of numbers has resulted in our facilities operating at capacity and limiting our ability to support additional members.
Already a new gym has been built which still needs more equipment. The thirds pitch has been moved further towards the river with a half size Astro Turf pitch installed for training. New Floodlights have also been put in place on both rear pitches. This phase of the project was completed using club resources together with some previous Lotto funding.
We now intend to construct new dressing rooms, showers, toilets and dedicated and fully equipped physiotherapy/medical rooms to cater for the increasing number of members of all ages both male and female. Match officials, both male and female also need to be catered for.
New male, female and disabled toilets will be also be constructed for use by parents, supporters and the general public separate from the player facilities.
The club currently has 4 changing rooms and 3 pitches. The increase in membership numbers at underage level both male and female, means the club desperately needs to provide additional facilities to allow for matches being played simultaneously on each of the 3 pitches and to provide for privacy/segregation between male & female players.
