The Under 10’s were invited to provide a pre-match demonstration at the weekend culminating in a guard of honour for the 1st XV’s first match of the season on Sunday.
The sun shone as did the enthusiasm and skills displayed by all the players who enjoyed the support of parents and spectators alike.
The outstanding level of commitment around the breakdown and tackle is a great testimony to the (now twice weekly) efforts of the coaches, Kieran, Aidan, Mark, Dan and Paul. Lugging those tackle bags and pads around the paddock in the rain has really paid dividends.
And it’s great to see the collective handling and passing skills improve with each passing week. We’re working on that hard and hopefully by the time we play our first blitz we’ll be creating space and even more scoring opportunities.
It was a great afternoon and I think all involved look forward to being invited back again.
Finally, thanks to the parents who delivered their children to us Saturday, Sunday and Monday this week! Washing machines on overdrive!
